Will the REAL Brad Pitt Stand Up!

For all who loved the Brad Pitt who was not side-swiped by the ridiculous desperations, entrapment and not to mention mentally instabilities of Angelina Jolie, let's hope Brad Pitt is on his way to freedom from the mommy monster Ms. Jolie. Let’s also hope that her African child is returned to her African mother, Pax remains with Brad independently of Ms. Jolie and the real biological father of Shiloh comes forward to rescue that child from the manipulations and entrapment for which Ms. Jolie only sought to bring her into this world to achieve.

Meanwhile, let's all focus on BRAD PITT and his dignify and oh so respectable co-star CATE BLANCHETT who would not be caught dead pursuing married or fiancé committed men on film shots no matter who they are in Hollywood. As it looks like the stunning pair will bring the elegancy and credible performances that we witnessed in their first collaboration Babel, prepare to be stunned once again. Let's all also hope in addition to Brad ditching the sad and exploitative Ms. Jolie in general that he also remembers to keep her well away from his professional life.

After all if it were not for her scandalous association to him, his marriage and his divorce he would have already received his first Oscar win. His work and life minus Ms. Jolie more than merits it.

Clooney latest role as UN peace messenger

Playing the Hollywood golden or power couple game is not George's style. Rising up and being one of the counted and notable souls with genuine invested interest is his impeccable style. And, what we at Excalibur-one love most of all about George Clooney. Whatever he puts his name or involvement to always comes from a place of authenticity, truth, sincerity and honorable intentions.

To all who sadly play the Hollywood game and get no "OSCAR' nods or Golden Globe wins let George Clooney be your example of what real humanity look like. Real humanity is genuinely caring about humanity and not the next media front cover photo op and featuring storyline about the day and a life of a tawdry personal life or stolen from another affair.

For the past three years, George Clooney has raised his game to impressive heights. The career praise and honors awarded him is testament to that and more. He continues to be still the man of the hour. Here's hoping he will be in receipt of yet another deserving Oscar win for his esteemed role and portrayal of a man uncompromised in Michael Clayton. Best wishes and congratulations for the latest role as UN peace messenger.

To take a look at George Clooney's award worthy role in Michael Clayton and check your local listing for a theatre near as this film is also back in theatres for nationwide release.

Note to Brad Pitt

This is just an observation, of course, but when an actor's film work is up to caliber and he has not yet won an Oscar or a recent Golden Globe would that be due to the unfortunate result of the company he keeps or his publicist. Maybe, in Mr. Pitt’s case it is BOTH!

“I am Legend” is the biggest December opening

Will Smith does it again. Hitting the top of the box office is no strange achievement for one of Hollywood’s most box office commanding actor around. Smith successes at the box office span the previous decade. There is sure to be no end in sight for the box office wonder Will Smith with yet another smash hit in which he plays the last man standing on earth. The Warner Bros. released saga entitled "I Am Legend," stars Smith who is also sort of the enitre only cast through out the film holding the majority of the on screen time for this 101 minute long film himself.

The storyline is based on the Richard Matheson novel filmed twice before as Vincent Price's "The Last Man on Earth" and Charlton Heston's "The Omega Man." In "I Am Legend" Smith is a scientist searching a cure for a plague that is transforming the population at large into vampire-like creatures. Smith who is a lone survivor of a plague stricken world and becomes possible the last living human.

“I am Legend” is the biggest December opening to date. The lonely spot at the top of the heap came in at official takings of $76.5 million. This notably is another personal achievement for one of Hollywood's top box-office conquerors. "It's no wonder Will Smith feels so lonely. Everyone else on Earth is in the movie theater," said Paul Dergarabedian, president of box-office tracker Media By Numbers. The respectable second place went to 20th Century Fox family film "Alvin and the Chipmunks," starring Jason Lee in a big-screen take on the cartoon critters. "Forty-five million acorns," said Chris Aronson, senior vice president for distribution at 20th Century Fox. "Chipmunks are diurnal animals and they do hibernate, but not right now."

The weekend business at the box office was a resounding triumph all around with the top 12 movies taking in $153.6 million, up 39 percent from the same weekend a year earlier. Last years film favorite was another Smith lead film which also entered at No. 1 with a $26.5 million debut for "The Pursuit of Happyness." Third place hit film “The Golden Compass" which cost $180 million to produce has earned $90 million so far overseas while raking in $41 million domestically .

"I Am Legend" not too surprisingly has crushed Smith's previous film debut records by exceeding the $52.1 million opening weekends of "I, Robot" and "Men in Black II. ". "I Am Legend" out did the mighty $72.6 million premiere of 2003's "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King," the previous best December month film opening.
"It's nice to be in the Will Smith business," said Dan Fellman, head of distribution for Warner Bros. "He is just the No. 1 box-office star in the world today."

Tom Cruise honored at the Moving Image Black Tie Salute

Tom Cruise and stunningly elegant Katie Holmes were at Cipriani in NYC. The occasion was the honoring of Tom with a Moving Image Black Tie Salute award. Katie was the picture of perfection and dignified grace while Tom looked oh so dapper and handsome. The aging process is seemingly treating Tom wonderfully in comparison to others these days. Congratulations to Tom for the award. Katie's has turned out to be one hell of a prize for Tom herself and of course the ever gorgeous SURI!

Katie Holmes in Mad Money

We at Excalibur-one adore Tom and Katie... We are Real Tomkat fans....And Suri is just heavenly! Check out Katie's new flick also starring Diane Keaton, Queen Latifah, Roger R. Cross, and Ted Danson. The remake comedy caper is described as a film about three ordinary women who become unlikely friends and then step a little out of character when they decide to do something extraordinary... ie. Rob one of the most secure banks in the world. Mad Money is directed by Callie Khouri and opens in a theatre near you on January 18th, 2008. We haven't seen Katie on the silver screen for a while since marrying Tom and have a "REAL" love child... so this should be fun!

Jon Voight: Heartbroken Over Angelina, James

My heart goes out to the esteemed and honorable Jon Voight over the matter of his malicious daughter who also saw it fit to turning even his son whom she inappropriately and publicly displayed such horrendous and tactless behavior with against him. aka The sucking face all over Hollywood’s red carpet events with her brother. Even in as recent as just before her Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-starring declaring herself on the stage of an awards show madly in love with her brother. Not long after a tearful Voight made public pleas for his obviously disturbed daughter to get mental health help.

It looks like the mental health help could be still very much in demand. Who would ever be a man around such a situation as to also assist with the keeping of grandchildren from their Grandfather as is the saddest aspect to this very tragic situation. But, obvious no back bone Mr. Pitt has no problem with the sad state of affairs he has gotten himself into with Mr. Voights' disgraceful and shamed daughter even to the extent of denying him access to the alleged biological child… Tragic indeed!

My well wishes are with you Mr. Voight as well as my gratitude for your tremendous contribution to the world of cinematic film making goes without saying. Thank you for your decades of excellence and integrity in all that you do on screen and off.

Hugh Grant Confirms Split from Heiress

Hugh Grant might have confirmed his split from Heiress Jemma Khan earlier this year, but do we know who he is dating now? He is a bit lovely. It would be nice to know who will ever take him off the market. Meanwhile, I guess it will be a little of the "watch this space" scenario until then. Enjoy the read and click the link above.
