My Five Essential Movies List
In the latest issue of Esquire magazine, Leonardo DiCaprio opens up about his thoughts, views as well as very stunning photos of himself. The cover interview features a more candid DiCaprio who kindly shares his pick of five essential movies. The exceptional films that made his five essential movies list include Sci-fi favorite Stanley Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke's 2001: A Space Odyssey, Vittorio De Sica's The Bicycle Thief, Martin Scorsese's Taxi Driver, Federico Fellini's 8 1/2 and Elia Kazan's East of Eden.
DiCaprio said when describing his thought about Kubrick and Clarke's film, "It's beyond a movie—it's a spiritual experience. You have to submerge yourself in it with the idea that Kubrick's intent was to make us understand our relationship with the universe. The more you watch it the more questions it asks." After reading this list of essential films conveyed by one of Hollywood's most esteemed and finest actors/producers, I came up with a five essential movies list of my own.
Topping my list is Doctor Zhivago (1965) film starring Omar Sharif as Yurf the Russian doctor/poet who falls in love with the stunning Julia Christie as Lara. In spite of being married, Yurf becomes utterly taken with Lara. Sadly, much like in real life some love is destined for doom and gloom. This epic tale delves into the underlining aspect of pain vs. ecstasy that often goes hand and hand within the most intense moment of love.
Not even Lara's passion for the revolutionary man she went onto to marry deterred the driving force and depths of love Yurf felt for Lara. It was as if he only became a whole man in her presence and enveloped within her love. Doctor Zhivago is an awe-inspiring epic film complete with the breathtaking scenery of Russian winter backdrop. Long after watching Doctor Zhivago is continued to wonder if I could ever settle for a love less than utterly and completely all consuming. Read More.

Brad Pitt Dumped Angelina Jolie But Can't Find Anyone Crazy Enough to Take Him and the Aftermath On
Is Brad Pitt trapped in hell? He dumps Angelina Jolie annually. Pitt tried to flee her by running back to Jennifer Aniston last year when he appeared to break free of the barracuda Jolie and her sledge hammer also known as the Jolie-Pitt kids. And, now he is trapped in a hell of his making. The minute Jolie discovers with each of these partings that no other woman has taken up with Pitt five minutes later she is back at the maneuvers and manipulation to keep hold of him herself.
Earlier this year,Pitt appeared to rise bold enough to end the matter Ms. Jolie who just won’t let go off when he had the L.A.lawyers finalize the parting through official legal separation papers. Much to Jolie's surprise, the custody and visitation agreements along with the formally separation legal documents ended her efforts to pre-date the so called relationship five years for 'common law wife' pursuit purposes on her part.
Discovering that she can neither hold Pitt officially to child support payments as he is not the real "biological" father and her questionable African adoption denies her actual child support payment entitlement. The living African mother of Zaraha who continues to campaign for the return of the child to Africa is always the perfect weapon to utilize against Jolie seeking child support payment for the orphan children she so loves to exploit in the doomed matter called "Brangelina."
Pitt seemingly can not find anyone foolish or crazy enough to take on him, his former co-star and six kids with an unstable stalking mother for a 'baby mama." Leaving Pitt faced with the reality that he truly has gotten the situation with her very wrong. After all, who in there right mind wants to get involve with a man involved with that woman and that mess through those children. I, for one, am not that woman. Ironically, Aniston just might be the only woman who would take on that situation and have Pitt with open arms.
Annually, Jolie attempts to hold the lies and deception together so that she can flaunt herself on front covers that years ago would not give her narcissistic lifestyle the time of day. Jolie is clearly resorting to every other trick in the book to hang onto the charade known as Brangelina. Even orchestrating her own strategic photo opts as the "so called" evidence. While sulking and miserable Pitt seems unwilling to really face up to the reality of his folly completely.
As he is incapable of being a single parent, Jolie continues to power play the situation through those overexposed in the media children. There is something very disturbingly wrong with "Brangelina." If Pitt will not protect those children from the obvious exploitation inflicted upon them through their being ill used by Ms. Jolie then maybe, DSS should inevitably intervene on behalf of these children.
Pitt appears to be finding out the hard way that he allowance of Jolie to follow him around yearly through these children has ultimately cost him and his career dearly as the real praise of Hollywood Oscars and Globes is denied him.
Taking her out onto red carpet event seemingly needs to be a thing of the past. As Pitt was completely snubbed by every award ceremony there is in Hollywood in the lead up to the 2010 awards ceremony season. Pitt does risks the danger of further alienating himself from Hollywood forever. Especially, if he continues to surrender to the determination of someone so fool-hearted and prepared to do whatever it takes to entrap him and his finances even by hook or crook as it turns out.
Sad, Pitt was well on his way to a beautiful Hollywood status and career legacy. Something's and some people are simply not worth mixing with as in the long run there is always a bigger price to pay for adultery, deception and in this case even fraud.

Marley Concert Canceled for the First Time in 38 Years
KINGSTON, Jamaica- If you are a fan of Bob Marley then you would already know all there is to know about the annual birthday celebrating his life on Feb. 6th. The birthday celebration is an annual tradition that became the way of Kingston life for decades. This year's celebrations were expected to surpass the festivities of years gone by. The musical event of Kingston, Jamaica was distinguished by all who strive to keep the spirit of Marley's music alive through his fans and followers. This year was expected to be no different except for the very large matter of the celebrations being called off for the first time in years. The news of the concert's cancellation appears to have been rather late in the day as those visiting Kingston annually had discovered at the very last minute.
Holiday makers who attempted to coordinate their vacation time with the Feb 6th Bob Marley Birthday Bash Celebration got the shock of their lives. The concert that drew in thousands from around the world failed to obtain permits from local authorities in time for the celebration to kickoff on the day. Kingston was definitely geared up to party to the beats of the legendary Bob Marley as part of his birthday celebrations bash event. Unfortunately, for thousands of Marley fans expected to attend the highly anticipated concert had been canceled. The annual birthday celebration concert is the pride and joy of Kingston. But, this year the lively city had to make do with celebrating the great late singer without the traditional Bob Marley concert extravaganza.

The inovative 2007 Solar Decathlon Challenge for designers from all over the world saw a great quantity of designs for solar powered homes that are energy-efficient and of the latest solar and green technology on the planet. The German team took the top prize as winners of the extraordinary green and sustainable challenge. With buildings and homes being the number one source of the atmospheres pollution tackling the household pollution problem with green and solar solution is an invaluable way forward for all.

George Clooney can do no wrong. The man is the quintessential man of the 21st century. No scandalous on set romances, running off with notorious serial co-stars chasing down actors already in committed relationship females, and no shacking up with man-eater entrapment disreputable Hollywood actresses for this guy!
There is no where in his professional or personal life that the grey areas of exploitative behavior, scandal or unsavory unholy union relationships appear. Let’s face it we are never going to see George’s love life played out like some sad grocery store lane tragic attention seeking soap opera. And, THANK GOD for that!
He is now making his own mark in joining the solutions to making green and going green an innovative way for the future for all. The "Michael Clayton" star will become an executive board member of a new Swiss energy company that will develop environmentally friendly technology for car engines and other devices, according to billionaire time-keeper Nicolas Hayek, chairman and firm founder of the Swatch Group.
We salute you George Clooney. A true renaissance man!
